I have been painting California landscapes for over 25 years, taking the less obvious, and exaggerating the mood, colors, and tension. Big on music while I work: Mogwai, old New Order, Kraftwerk, Boards of Canada, Apex Twin, Reggae from the 1972-1980 golden era, Classical, Miles, Coltrane, Bill Evans, Brian Eno, Harold Budd, Delta Blues, 70’s soul…

I am also a musician with numerous albums out there. Swell, a band I co-founded in San Francisco in the early 90’s, and recently re-united to tour Europe and the West Coast, and my solo project, The World is Haunted. My musical background can pull me away from painting. Which to prioritize? I’ll take both for the win 🙂
